My event is appearing as sold out - what to do?

Are you experiencing a sold-out status for your event when it shouldn't be? Don't worry, there could be a few reasons behind it, but we'll help you figure it out.

Reason 1: Maximum capacity reached

There are two places in your dashboard where you can set the capacity, i.e., the number of tickets available for sale for your event:

  1. Under the specific ticket type in the "Edit event" section.
  2. In the "Ticket settings and discounts" area, where you can define if there's a maximum number of tickets available across ticket types.

Reason 2: Tickets reserved in carts

Sometimes, tickets may be added to a cart but not purchased. If the purchase isn't completed, the tickets will be released for sale after a certain period of time. Typically, cart reservations last for a maximum of 15 minutes (depending on the complexity of the ticket purchase).

To check the number of reserved tickets, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your dashboard.
  2. Click on the event.
  3. Scroll down below the graph on the "Overview" tab.
  4. Under "Sales per ticket type," you'll see the number of reserved tickets.
  5. Remember to refresh the page to view updated numbers.

Reason 3: Ticket type not set for sale

You can check and change this by following these steps:

1. Log in to your dashboard.
2. Click on the event.
3. Click on "Edit event".
4. Scroll down to the ticket type in question.
5. Check if the "Ticket type is for sale" checkbox is selected.

Reason 4: End date for ticket sales reached

You can check and change this by following these steps:

  1. Log in to your dashboard.
  2. Click on the relevant event.
  3. Click on "Edit event".
  4. Scroll down to the ticket type in question.
  5. Click on "Advanced settings".
  6. Check if there's an end date specified for the ticket type sales.

Reason 5: No seats added to the seating plan

If you've enabled a seating plan for your event but haven't added any seats in the seating planner, your event will appear as sold out.

To resolve this, please follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your dashboard.
  2. Click on the event.
  3. Click on the "Seating plan" tab on the left side.
  4. Add seats to the plan.
