Limit the no. of tickets that can be sold across multiple ticket types
If you have multiple ticket types, you may need to set a limit on the total number of tickets that can be sold. This ensures that the total number of sold tickets does not exceed the capacity of your event.
Here's a guide on how to set the maximum number of tickets that can be sold overall:
- Go to your Ticketbutler page
- Select your event
- Select "Ticket settings and discounts" on the left-hand menu
- Check the box "Is there a limited amount of tickets that can be bought in total across all ticket types?"
- You can then indicate the total number of guests you can accommodate.
The above means that you can have 2 different ticket types with 100 available tickets under each ticket type, even if you can only accommodate 80 guests in total. Just make sure to set the number of tickets that can be sold overall to 80.
This way, you can ensure that you don't sell more tickets than the number of guests you can actually accommodate.
