Newsletter signups in Ticketbutler
Ticketbutler automatically collects newsletter subscribers for you via a default checkbox in the purchase flow, where your ticket buyers can choose whether they want to receive newsletters from you or not.

Some ticket buyers choose this, and we naturally think that you as an organiser should take advantage of this, if you don't already!

Download a list of your subscribers
You can download an Excel list of your subscribers and upload this to your newsletter system or to your email.

Download by following these steps:
  1. Log in to your Ticketbutler dashboard
  2. Click on "General settings" at the top right
  3. Click on "Ticket system setup"
  4. Click on "Newsletter setup"
  5. Click on "Download all newsletter subscribers".
  6. You will now get a comprehensive list of all those who have signed up for your newsletter across all events.

If you want to download newsletter write-ups from a specific event, do the following instead:
  1. Click on the event in question
  2. Click on the "Attendees" tab
  3. Click on "Export guest data".
  4. You will now get a comprehensive list of all registered guests for your event. In the "Newsletter" column, all those who have "YES" next to their name have agreed to receive newsletters from you. You can now sort the data from this column, remove all those who have "NO" and finally import the list (either into your email or into your newsletter program).

Why newsletters?
There are many marketing channels these days, but there is only one that you have 100% ownership and therefore control over - namely your newsletter.

In addition to having an ROI (return of investment) of over 40, there are a number of other advantages to using this channel:
  1. It's free
  2. You have full control over the content of your newsletters
  3. You can segment and thereby make them more personal and relevant to the recipient
  4. It's easy to get started
  5. It's "permission marketing" (as opposed to "disruption marketing" such as popups, ads, etc.), i.e. there is a greater chance that your recipients will actually read them
  6. It's safer, as you don't risk, like Facebook or Instagram, that your email account will suddenly be deactivated or similar.
