Numbered seats and seating plans

et your ticket buyers choose where they want to sit by designing your event space with e.g. stands, balconies, numbered seats and rows using Ticketbutler's intelligent seating function.


How do I create a floor plan for my event?

To activate the seating plan feature, simply contact us directly at either hello@ticketbutler.io or tel. +45 89 80 12 80. Then follow these steps:

  1. Click on the event in question
  2. Click on the "Seating plans" tab
  3. Choose whether you would like to create a seating plan with or without sections
  4. Click the "Row tool" to create a row or group of seats
  5. To assign a ticket type to the seats, click on the white arrow ("Select tool") and mark the seats
  6. Head to "Category" top right and click on the drop-down "No category assigned"
  7. Select the ticket type the seats should belong to
  8. Select row names under "Row labelling"
  9. Select seat names under "Seat labelling"
  10. You can also choose to mark any toilets, bars, emergency exits, etc. by clicking on the "Icon tool" at the bottom left.
  11. Click on "Publish" to publish the seating plan.

There are quite a few options available to you, so go ahead and play around with all the different functions before publishing.

 

How do I limit the number of tickets for sale in a standing area?

Adjust the number of tickets for sale in a given area by following these steps:

  1. Create an area by clicking on the "Rectangular area tool"
  2. Click on the white "Select tool" arrow top left
  3. Select the area 
  4. Scroll down to "Capacity" top right
  5. Select the ticket type and no. of standing places available in the "Capacity" field.

Test how the floor plan looks to the ticket buyer by clicking on the event title top left, which will open up the event page.


How do I block seats?

Block seats if you want to reserve certain seats for e.g. VIP or family. It can also be a good idea to block seats if you want certain areas to sell out first before opening up a new area. 

To block seats, simply follow these steps:

  1. Select your event in the overview
  2. Click on the seating plan tab
  3. Click "Block specific seats"
  4. Select the seats you want to block (or use "rectangular section" to mass-mark an area instead of having to click on each seat)
  5. Click on "Apply changes".


Why is my event listed as sold out?

If you have activated the floor plan for your event, but no seats have been added in the floor planner, your event will show as sold out to your ticket buyers. To rectify this, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your dashboard
  2. Click on the event in question
  3. Click on the "Floor plan" tab on the left
  4. Add seats.
