How do I restrict access to ticket sales?

Limiting access to ticket purchases provides you with control over your event's audience. If you're organising an event and want to limit access to ticket sales, whether by hiding it from everyone except selected individuals or making it exclusive to specific groups, we offer a few solutions to meet your needs.

All events are by default hidden until shared

By default, all events created in Ticketbutler hidden until you choose to share the link via e.g. email invitations, Facebook, newsletters, your website, etc.

In other words, your event is already hidden from view unless you share the link with specific people.

Besides that, you can restrict access to ticket sales using the following methods:

  1. Set an artificially high ticket price to discourage other buyers, and then send a 100% discount code to the selected individuals (read more about creating discount codes here).

  2. Keep an eye on the "Attendees" tab and refund any tickets purchased by unauthorised individuals.
